Door Locks

With most insurers now insisting on British Standard approved locks, it is now more important than ever to ensure that your external doors are fitted with the right security. With fully stocked vans Premier Locksmiths can provide an efficient and speedy answer to all your security needs.  Below are some of the typical hardware that we can supply and fit to all types of doors whether domestic or commercial.

Nightlatches - Traditional

Traditional Night Latches are used on wooden doors. Operation is by a key from the outside and a handle from the inside.

These are also used on wooden doors and are designed with an internal lockable handle, providing added security against forced entry. Operation is again by a key from the outside and a handle and/or key from the inside.

Mortice Locks are available to a variety of specifications. The more levers there are, the harder it will be to force entry.

Two and three lever locks are mainly for internal use, whereas the five lever mortice lock is more suitable for front and back exterior doors.

Many insurance companies now specify a BS3621 five-lever mortice deadlock as a condition of home insurance cover.

These are of a similar specification to that above but have the addition of a latch and handle and can be used for both internal and external doors.

Again they conform to BS3621 for insurance purposes.

A euro cylinder is a common cylinder found on most UPVC, wooden and metal doors and come in a variety of sizes.

Euro cylinders or oval cylinders are available. Both can be key to key or key to thumb.

Garage door locks are commonly used on up and over doors.

Garage door defenders are bolted to the ground and padlocked to prevent the door from being lifted up.

Ideal for securing outbuildings, Padlocks are available in a wide range of specifications depending on their usage.

For use with shop fronts and other metal doors.

The two hook, two roller Multi-Point Lock unit is designed for UPVC doors. By lifting the door handle, the unit throws two forged hooks and a deadbolt into the keeps located on the door frame, to provide multiple locking positions.

We are able to supply and fit many of the multi-point locks within 24hrs.

Premier Locksmiths can offer keyed alike/master suite systems where one keys works all. This is an ideal solution for landlords, office managers and even large companies concerned about security.
