On the 20th May 2018 Premier Locksmiths were at the ‘Home Security Awareness Day’ at Poplars Garden Centre in Toddington.
There were police officers on hand to advise on the numerous things you can do to prevent intruders from choosing your house plus lots more information on keeping your home and family safe & secure.
It was a great day and from what we heard it is very clear that crime is changing. The police are constantly adapting to tackle crime, but they can’t fight crime alone.
They need the support of the public.
The Bedfordshire police reported that there were 884 crimes committed in Dunstable, Houghton Regis and rural surrounding areas in April 2018. 106 of those crimes were burglaries.
A large percentage of burglaries occurs during the summer months and the temperatures are hotting up! Do you leave your windows open when you go out?
