Beds Alert is an email messaging system bought to you by the Bedfordshire Police powered by Neighbourhood Alert.
You can sign up, follow them on Twitter and Facebook and see the latest alerts. You can even follow their blog, ‘Bobbies on the beat’.
When you sign up, you can choose the option to receive alerts via email, text or landline voice mail.
Emails are sent by a secure Neighbourhood Alert System and you can respond to them.
The messaging system focuses on working with the community in Bedfordshire to raise awareness. It is here to compliment other systems such as the Neighbourhood Watch scheme.

Recently there was an incident in Leighton Buzzard, Beds. Police were called by concerned residents who reported suspicious activity in the early hours.
A burglary was subsequently reported in Waterdell. The helicopter was deployed and four men were arrested. Officers also recovered items believed to be stolen property. The men remain in custody and detectives are continuing to investigate.
